How to improve your mobile signal to work from home effectively

We’re living in difficult times for workers, especially if you have to travel to an office, workshop, warehouse, or anywhere outside the relative safety of your home. The current COVID-19 pandemic has forced many countries to impose restrictions on our working hours, including how we travel and the hours we spend at work.

A safer, viable alternative is what many people call teleworking, which is simply working online from home, thus reducing the risks of possible contagion at work. However, in order to even consider this option, we need to ensure we have a reliable, high-speed Internet connection. Above all, we must be able to make and receive calls without any hiccups.

Many people use their mobile data to connect to the internet for work purposes, but is the mobile signal strong enough inside your home? And what can you do to improve the signal?

Can you improve the mobile signal to help you work from home?

It’s often the case that, even if there’s a strong enough mobile signal right outside your house, when you enter your home the signal bars on your mobile disappear as if by magic. If that’s the case in your house, then you’re going to need to improve your mobile signal to be able to work effectively and reliably from home.

Mobile signal problems inside your house are usually due to one or more of the following factors:

  • Your building is very modern, and specific metal and insulating elements will have been used that prevent the signal from being transmitted inside.
  • You live quite far from your mobile operator’s tower, and the signal reaching the interior is already too weak.
  • You may live quite close to the tower, but there are obstacles such as mountains, hills, and other buildings that dampen the signal.

Even if you tell your mobile operator that you need a better mobile signal to be able to work from home, they’ll fob you off because there may not be enough customers in the area to make it viable for them to make these improvements.

So, is it possible to improve the mobile signal yourself so that you can work from home without a problem? Yes! And it’s a simple solution: install a signal repeater.

Amplify the mobile signal for teleworking

Stelladoradus mobile signal repeaters can easily amplify your mobile signal by collecting the mobile signal outside, with an external antenna, and then channelling it into the home with a cable. Once inside, the repeater amplifies it and distributes it to the areas where you most need a mobile signal, by means of indoor antennas.

Do you only need a signal in your office or living room? In that case, simply choose a repeater model with a single indoor antenna. Or what about if you want to have the freedom to work anywhere in your house? No problem at all – your installation can have as many indoor antennas as you need.

We also know that you don’t want to have any problems with your service provider, and so you’ll be happy to learn that Stelladoradus repeaters pass all the EU regulatory tests and are CE certified for you to use.

The simplest repeaters can be installed yourself, and it’s as easy as plugging them in. However, we also have an extensive network of distributors and professional installers at your disposal. You can contact us if you have any questions.

If you’re thinking of upgrading your mobile signal to help you to work from home more effectively, then a signal repeater is the best value for money solution you can get. And, of course, you’ll also have a powerful mobile signal for your own leisure use too…
