Background
Trinity College Dublin is Irelands oldest and most prestigious university. 20,000 high achieving students attend the university along with PhD students, staff and visitors.
The campus is continually expanding, and now boasts a newly built 5-storey sports centre with state-of-the-art facilities.
The Problem
Trinity College takes great pride in its professional sports teams, which compete at the highest level. The sports hall is heavily utilised by teams who use their phones during training, and also to provide entertainment and make calls.
However, ever since it opened its doors, athletes and visitors were continually frustrated by the lack of mobile signal inside. They had to leave the building to make a phone call or use the internet.
The contemporary construction materials of the sports hall, including triple-glazed windows, steel, and concrete, completely blocked all mobile signal from entering the facility.
WiFi was installed in the premises, but, because of the number of transient visitors, it was difficult to manage the overhead of usernames and passwords, along with the problem of contention and unstable phone calls.
The Objective

The Result
The administration at Trinity College expressed great satisfaction with the installation, noting all users now have full signal on their phones at all times. Athletes can upload their personal records as fast as they achieve them and send them to friends.
