Anières, the most affluent area in Geneva, Switzerland, is synonymous with luxury and exclusivity. This picturesque location, home to 5-star hotels and Michelin-starred restaurants, attracts both discerning locals and high-end tourists who expect only the best in service and quality.
In the heart of Anières, a two-storey underground car park provides spacious, 24/7 parking for visitors.

The Challenge
Mobile signal was very poor in this underground two-storey carpark, as the steel and concrete construction materials completely blocked the mobile signal from entering the car park.
Given the area’s status and clientele—business travellers and a high-earning population—seamless mobile connectivity is not a luxury but an absolute necessity. These users demand strong, uninterrupted mobile signal as an essential part of their daily routine, whether for business calls or using mobile apps for EV-charging.
To meet these high expectations, a robust mobile signal solution was required to ensure flawless connectivity throughout the underground facility.

The Objective
The car park management team recognized the critical importance of strong mobile signal coverage throughout the facility. While WiFi was available, it quickly became clear that it was causing frustration among users, leading to several key issues:
- WiFi calling was unreliable, as visitors frequently experienced dropped calls due to their phones switching between different WiFi access points as well as cellular network while moving through the car park.
- High-profile visitors disliked spending time on passwords and logins just to access the internet.
To resolve these challenges, the management team contacted DMR Telecom for a professional mobile signal solution. Their top priorities were:
✔ Secure, reliable mobile connectivity for all visitors.
✔ Amplification of mobile signal from all operators
✔ Ultra-fast 5G connectivity at EV-charging stations for using mobile apps and payment transactions.
The Solution
As a second step in the 4-step process, DLP Connex designed the installation in StellaPlanner, our online design tool. The installer uploaded building plans and positioned the SOHO iR5 repeater and antennas to ensure optimal mobile coverage throughout the coworking space.
To effectively capture and amplify the mobile signal, a directional Yagi antenna was installed on the roof to receive the strongest possible signal from nearby cell towers. Inside the building, three panel antennas were strategically placed to distribute the enhanced signal across all office areas, eliminating dead zones.
The SOHO iR5 was chosen so that the repeater could be remotely monitored and managed, ensuring maximum mobile coverage at all times.

The Result
The management of the underground car park was absolutely delighted with the mobile signal strength. Car park users could now enjoy crystal-clear phone calls in every area as well as seamlessly use mobile apps for EV-charging.
This improved user experience encouraged customers to return regularly, ensuring a steady revenue stream for the management. Additionally, positive word-of-mouth attracted new customers, further boosting the car park’s occupancy and profitability.
