The Hendrick Hotel is situated in Smithfield, one of Dublin’s most vibrant and affluent neighbourhoods. Popular with millennials aged 25–35, the area offers a lively mix of fine dining, arts, and independent cinema.
Positioned as an ideal destination for city breaks, The Hendrick provides guests with easy walking access to some of Dublin’s most iconic attractions, including the Guinness Storehouse and the Jameson Distillery

The Challenge
The Hendrick Hotel primarily attracts a young, tech-savvy clientele who rely heavily on their smartphones for sharing content on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram, as well as for streaming video.
Despite its central location, the hotel suffered from no indoor mobile signal due to the building’s structural materials. The concrete walls and triple-glazed windows completely blocked any external signal from entering the building.
This lack of connectivity was a major source of frustration for guests, who were reluctant to rely on slow, unsecured public WiFi. In response, the hotel management turned to Novatel, a trusted distributor of Stella Doradus, to deliver a professional and reliable mobile signal solution.
The Solution

The hotel lobby and restaurant area were identified as priority zones, as guests preferred spending time in the spacious, social atmosphere of the lobby rather than staying in their rooms.
To address the connectivity issue, an experienced team of Novatel installers carried out an on-site survey to assess the mobile signal strength throughout the hotel. Based on their findings, the Stella Office Repeater System was selected as the ideal solution to deliver strong and reliable mobile coverage throughout the key areas of The Hendrick Hotel.
An outdoor antenna was installed on the hotel’s rooftop to capture the mobile signal from the dominant cell tower in the area. This antenna was connected to the Stella Office Repeater, which then distributed the amplified signal via indoor antennas strategically placed throughout the 7-storey building. This setup ensured consistent and reliable mobile coverage across all floors, including key guest areas like the lobby and restaurant.
