Background
The institute of France, Paris is a historic old building, built over 200 years ago. It recently expanded its premises to include a large hall and auditorium to accommodate the large number of visitors that attend its conferences and museums.
The challenge
It was essential to the management that in their new state of the art building, all mobile phone communications, calls and data, would function perfectly as expected by the clients .
However, the modern construction materials including triple glazed glass, steel and concrete entirely blocked the mobile signal from entering the state-of-the-art building.
The objective
The management contacted Topsat, a trusted Stella Doradus installer with many years of experience, to solve their communication problems and also requested the installation to be invisible, keeping with the modern aesthetic look of the building.
Topsat decided to install a Stella Doradus iRepeater for the following reasons.
- The iRepeater amplifies all operators for 5G, 4G, 3G and 2G, ensuring clear calls and super-fast data for all staff and visitors.
- There is no limit to the number of simultaneous users. So, even during busy conferences, all visitors would experience seamless communications.
- All 4G devices, such as payment terminals are also amplified, ensuring speedy payment transactions, and satisfied customer experience.
- The iRepeater can be remotely monitored and controlled. This offers peace of mind to the management in the institute that their communications were being professionally managed.
The equipment installed in the hall was:
1x external Yagi antenna
1x iR6 iRepeater.
3x omni antennas
2x panel antennas.
Panel antennas were installed discreetly behind the glass panels in the auditorium and ceiling antennas were installed behind the false panels in the ceiling of the hall. This ensured that the sleek modern finish of the building was not impaired.
The iRepeater is a modular system, so it can be expanded to cover any sized building.
The result.
The successful installation resulted in the visitors having full signal with fast data speeds instead of losing mobile signal completely when entering the auditorium. The management were delighted that their communication issues were resolved so promptly and efficiently. Moreover, the client appreciated the fact that the Stella Doradus repeater system requires no further management.
